Amongst the planned events, many local businesses and vendors will be having specials and contests. Some are making fun foods with Wizard of Oz themes, and others are having competitions. These are a few of those:
- The Toto Look-A-Like Contest, Sponsored by The Doggie Bag. Any dog can enter! Ribbons and gift certificates awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners. Call Eric at 262-560-1717 For more details.
- Accentuate located on Wisconsin Ave. will be hosting a "Decorate the Witch's Broom" contest. Children should have fun and decorate their brooms in creative ways. Judging will be held in several age brackets for prizes. Call Bill at 262-569-7847 for more information.
- The Irish Pub, an Oconomowoc "Must See" is hosting a week of fun activities and will be sending Irish Musicians to the Village Green Area to entertain. Stop in for a Pint in this smoke free environment where there are no TV's, only good Irish fun and a fiest Irishmen named Aelred.
- Sweetie Pies will be hosting a slew of fun sweet treats at their location across from the stage.
- Golosi Gelatto will be serving new fun Wizard of Oz flavors at their location. You have to try this fun Italian treat. The store is run by a lovely Italian Family and it is a beautifuly finished.
- Todd's Grill will have drink specials and be selling pulled pork and Wizard Weiners in the street in front of his location by the Movie Screen.
- Whelan's Ice Cream Shop also has a great location by the movie itself and will be serving ice cream food and other fare. A scavenger hunt in Downtown Oconomowoc for Dorothy's missing ruby slippers. (Recommended age 12 & up, prizes awarded)
- The Chamber of Commerce will selling Popcorn near the Movie Site in front of their offices. 50% of their proceeds will go to the Oconomowoc Food Pantry.
- Lakerz Bar will serve some super fun drink specials.
- Griffin Gallery Fine Art will be featuring paintings of The Wizard of OZ
created by the gallery artists. The paintings will be on display and
